I've always believed press-on nails are an editing tool for the body—your daily choices of color, density, and narrative rhythm are how you edit yourself today. Collaborating with Maoco Land made me reconsider the meaning of 'licensing': not pasting someone else's characters on, but allowing two worlds' grammars to reach temporary agreement across ten nails. Carver's stories taught me that the most moving parts are often what goes unsaid; so the 'Home Alone' speech bubbles are empty, the 'Let's Mess Up' lines overflow, and the 'Sequin Obsessed' sequins fade out. These absences and excesses are all traces of editing.
