The story behind Heat Wave Vacation
I live close enough to the sea to watch the shoreline change color by the hour. At sunset, the coast first burns orange-red, then fades to peach-nude, finally slipping quietly into blue. My beach doesn't actually have real shells or starfish, but the joy of looking down for small things in summer never needs real treasure to validate it. This set's inspiration comes from this water-adjacent perspective—not the tourist's picture-perfect beach, but details only those who live long-term with the ocean would notice: the angle of sunlight refracting on water, the wet dividing line on sand after the tide recedes, the translucent shadows floating in jellyfish-season waters. I want the wearer to possess both rights: to boldly bake in daylight, and to dive into their own deep blue undisturbed.
